As a member of a diverse engineering team, you will develop infrastructure and deployment platforms to enable production data science and machine learning engineering development. You will develop and champion modern data engineering concepts to technical and business stakeholders. Implement new and innovative deployment techniques, tooling, and infrastructure automation internally and with clients.
As a senior manager your role will be to lead, coach and guide a team of data engineers and continue to build out the team in the region. You will advise the global engineering data team, collaborate closely with and influence business consulting staff and leaders. You will also provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Requirements
2+years experience at an engineering manager level.
4+years of practical experience programming with Python, R, Java or similar.
You will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a technical related field
An understanding of project management techniques such as Agile and Kanban
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to haves: Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar. Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines, “Infrastructure as Code” technology and containerization. Experience with administering and managing and designing clusters. Experience of the data engineering ecosystem.
